Whether you want a static website to promote your business that only requires occassional updates, or an interactive online presence that is constantly changing and evolving, we can provide a cost-effective and reliable solution to your specific needs.

Website We believe that most website visitors prefer a clean uncluttered appearance, fast page loading and clear navigation. Our website design services follow this belief, so you won't find Flash animations, huge images, Java applets or lots of client-side scripting in our websites. We build websites based on common open-source technologies such as Apache, PHP and MySQL, and avoid proprietary technologies such as ASP.NET, Frontpage and Flash.

We ensure that our website design and development projects are fully compliant with web standards to ensure cross-browser compatibility. All websites are tested on a variety of browsers (such as Internet Explorer and Firefox) and platforms (including Mac OS-X and Linux) to avoid unpleasant surprises for your visitors and loss of potential business for you.

Website We can offer eCommerce solutions (for selling products online) based on the JShop Server eCommerce software. Previous work that S&P Technology have already done in this field can be seen in the portfolio.

If we will be hosting the completed website and taking care of the maintenance and updates this can be done on our JShop Developer license. Alternatively if you wish to take full control of the completed site we can offer a package including your own JShop license.

We can work in static XHTML and CSS, with some PHP for menus etc. This is the preferred option when changes are infrequent and would be handled by us (this S&P Technology website is built this way).

Website Alternatively we can offer Content Management System (CMS) based websites where we complete the website design and you take care of the content changes and additions through a web-based interface. Our preferred CMS is Website Baker which is free open-source software (so no license costs for you) and has a user-friendly interface.

Sometimes the only solution is custom written code for your specific needs. We can help with this too, if PHP and MySQL are appropriate technologies. In some cases the custom code would be for specific aspects of the website, with the rest built using one or more of the options mentioned above.
